A Vintage Mid-20th Century Steel Step-Through Utility Bicycle - A vintage mid-20th century steel step-through utility bicycle, presented in a weathered red and white colour scheme. The bicycle features a classic ladies' step-through frame construction with full-length metal mudguards finished in white. The drivetrain is a single-speed configuration with a chain-driven rear wheel, complemented by handlebar-operated caliper rim brakes. The bicycle is equipped with approximately 26-inch wheels, white plastic handlebar grips, and a white vinyl-covered saddle. A prominent feature is the large, heavy-duty black utility pannier bag mounted behind the seat tube, characteristic of postal or delivery use. Additional equipment includes front and rear battery-powered lighting units in plastic housings and a chrome-finished handlebar bell. A circular metal head badge is affixed to the head tube, though the design and text are too worn and corroded to be legible. The white saddle bears handwritten characters in ink on the side, appearing to read 50 66. Remnants of a white decal are visible on the seat tube, but no legible characters remain.
