A Marine Mooring Rode of Twisted Nylon Rope and Galvanised Steel Chain - A marine mooring rode comprising a length of three-strand twisted nylon rope joined to a section of galvanised steel chain. The rope is constructed in a traditional three-strand lay, finished at the terminal end with a protective whipping and a spliced loop. The rope is coupled to a length of heavy-duty galvanised steel chain featuring oval links. A handwritten adhesive paper label is attached to the rope, reading '25-30 FT / ROPE + / + 12 FT (ISH) / CHAIN' in purple ink. A second portion of the label is partially visible, inscribed with 'MOORING' and 'CHAIN'. A heavily oxidised D-shackle is attached to the terminal link of the chain. Rope Length: Approximately 25-30 feet Chain Length: Approximately 12 feet Chain Link Dimensions: 2 inches (5 cm) length per link.
