The unit incorporates a large diameter hand chain wheel and a secondary load chain wheel, fitted with a length of heavy-gauge steel chain. Two large forged steel hooks are attached to the mechanism, including a lower hook assembly with a substantial metal block. The exterior of the housing shows a rugged, cast finish. The assembly includes a curved metal guide arm positioned over the hand wheel. A small rectangular white adhesive label is present on one of the forged hooks, bearing the printed number 039.
