A Beswick Beatrix Potter Foxy Whiskered Gentleman Ceramic Figurine - A Beswick ceramic figurine depicting the anthropomorphic character Foxy Whiskered Gentleman from the Beatrix Potter stories. The fox is modelled in a standing pose with head tilted, dressed in a grey tailcoat over a pinkish-brown waistcoat and pale blue trousers. He stands upon a circular base with a textured green grass finish. The figurine is accompanied by its original white card box, which bears the signature 'John Beswick' in script and identifies the Beatrix Potter designs as trademarked by Frederick Warne & Co. Ltd. The underside of the base features a brown printed backstamp reading 'BEATRIX POTTER', ' ”Foxy Whiskered Gentleman” ', '© Frederick Warne & Co. 1954', 'Licensed by Copyrights', and 'BESWICK ENGLAND'.
