A Vintage Silver Marcasite and Shell Cameo Cocktail Ring - A vintage silver cocktail ring featuring an oval hand-carved shell cameo. The natural shell cameo displays a profile portrait of a woman in white relief against a carnelian-coloured orange ground. The cameo is secured in a central bezel setting, which is bordered by a decorative scalloped openwork frame bead-set with small, grey metallic marcasite stones. The band is of simple, polished construction and tapers towards the shoulders. The interior of the shank bears a literal impressed mark reading SILVER. The ring is presented in a blue textured box with a cream lining, featuring a gold-tone stamp on the interior lid for S & Co in an oval cartouche.
