A Vintage 9 Carat Gold Eight Stone Diamond Cluster Ring - A vintage nine carat yellow gold diamond cluster ring, dating from the mid-to-late 20th century. The ring features a tiered cluster head set with eight round brilliant cut diamonds, comprising a central stone surrounded by a border of seven smaller stones. The diamonds are held within white metal claws, likely white gold or platinum-tipped. The shoulders of the shank are decorated with a textured, cross-hatched engraved pattern that tapers into a plain polished band. The interior of the shank is struck with a series of British hallmarks including the fineness mark 375 for nine carat gold, a crown gold standard mark, the leopard's head for the London Assay Office, and a date letter appearing as a lowercase l. There is a further maker's mark present but it is too worn to be legible. The ring is presented in a blue textured box with a gold-foil retailer mark inside the lid reading S & Co inside four square frames.
