The cluster head is secured by multiple prongs and is flanked by split shoulders with a central groove, tapering to a plain, narrow shank. The interior of the shank bears a series of struck hallmarks including a maker's mark 'PB' in a rectangular cartouche, the finial '375' denoting 9 carat gold, an anchor symbol for the Birmingham Assay Office, and a lowercase date letter 'r' in a shaped shield.
