The piece features a decorative superstructure with a scrolled design and two circular textured bosses, leading to a fixed suspension loop with an additional loose bail attached. The base is set with an oval carnelian stone, also known as sard, which is smooth and unengraved. The metalwork shows intricate scrollwork typical of the period. A small hallmark is present on the suspension loop; it is struck with three characters that appear to read 9, 3, and 5 followed by two circular marks.
