A JAPANESE CAST-IRON FIGURE OF KSITIGARBHA 17TH C.
A bodhisattva in the guise of a monk, with a shaved head and long ears framing a serene expression on his face, is depicted seated in dhyanasana with hands in dhyanamudra supporting a jewel, loose layered robes open on his chest revealing an intricately beaded necklace with floral pendants.
Dimensions : H: 10 in., (25.5 cm.)
Condition : Good overall with extensive rust in some areas. Scratches on the top part of the head.
