A CAST BRONZE HEAD OF BUDDHA THAI 16TH C. AD
Fine antique head of a crowned Buddha made of smoke-blacked and waxed bronze. Mounted on a carved wooden stand, covered with leaf gilding. Facial features with half-closed eyes and a soft smile are very subtly worked out, as well as rich embossed crown jewelry with a mesh on the back of the head. 16th century.

Condition : Good overall, with discoloration along the gilded base
