A VICTORIAN-ERA MEDIEVAL SWORD

A 19th century Victorian facsimile of a medieval sword, bearing a wooden grip set below an iron guard of two flared quillons ending in button shapes as well as two smaller upwardly curved quillons above them. The pommel is also of iron and is made in the shape of a palm. The tapering steel blade is long and slender and ends in a rounded tip.

L: 39 5/8 in., (100.65 cm.)

Condition: Nice patina throughout. Grip and guard slightly loose but still attached. Some nicks and pitting on blade and guard. Wood of handle is well preserved with some minor cracks and a small hole, possibly from a wood worm.
