A 'ZWEIHANDER' GERMAN SWORD IN THE RENAISSANCE STYLE

A German two-handed sword in the renaissance style with a large guard consisting of two oval rings from which emanate two straight quillons that end in 'fleur de lis' shapes, a handle of turned wood, and a faceted pommel. The quillons have some simple line engraving, as does the forte of the blade below the two 'parierhaken' or 'parrying hooks'.
