A STUNNING PARISIAN HUNTING DAGGER, FRANCE, 19TH CENTURY
A finely made French hunting dagger inscribed 'Bernard a Paris', with a double-fullered blade emanating from an hourglass shaped ricasso. The gilt-brass hilt has depictions of a boar and a stag at center, and two hound's heads as the quillons. The grip is of ribbed black-stained horn. The blade itself is kept within a black leather scabbard with gilt-brass mounts.
