TEN RARE QURANIC ILLUMINATED PAGES, OTTOMAN EMPIRE, 16TH CEN.
Quran pages of different verses (Nahl, Zumar, Luqman, etc ). What makes these pages different is that the Blue and Yellow lines are written in Muhaqqaq Font (a Mamlouk tradition), while the rest are in Naskh font. This type of Quran writing was Common in the 16th century, the Karahisari Quran could be given as an example (which was produced in the era of Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent).

This lot comprises several Quran pages written in the style of the later Mamlouk era and the Golden Age of the Ottoman Empire.
