A PORCELAIN CLOCK WITH A SHEPHERD, FRANCE, 19TH CENTURY

A figural Old Paris porcelain mantle clock with a blue and gilt rococo-scrolled case surmounted with a removable topper of a shepherd and his dog in a countryside setting. Both pieces are of a Rococo design and hand-painted in polychrome colors and gilt. The clock piece is raised on scroll feet with a floral reserve and vine-like gilt highlights following the countryside/garden motif of the whole piece.

France, 19th century.
