A TURKISH CAST-BRASS PALASKA WITH A MOUNTED WARRIOR, 19TH CEN.
This 19th-century Turkish Palaska is cast entirely of brass and made for the housing of cartridges and ammunition. Chased and decorated on the front and sides with floral motifs and the image of two warriors wielding swords, possibly mid combat. One warrior is mounted on horseback and the second stands behind his arm grasping the mounted warrior. All parts and hinges are tight and functional.
