Lladro Porcelain Figurine A Barrow of Fun Model Number 5460 A large glazed porcelain figurine titled A Barrow of Fun, also known by the Spanish title A La Carrera, designed by sculptor Francisco Polope for Lladro. The piece depicts a young girl dressed in a blue long-sleeved top and a white skirt featuring a purple heart-patterned hem. She is shown wearing a wide-brimmed sun hat and is posed pushing a simulated wooden wheelbarrow. The barrow is filled with a profusion of hand-applied pastel-coloured flowers in shades of pink, yellow, and white, with two puppies nestled among the blossoms. The figurine is set upon an oval base with a green grassy ground and a white raised-scroll decorative border. The underside of the base bears the blue underglaze Lladro bellflower symbol, the name LLADRÓ, IA 14 S, HAND MADE IN SPAIN, and © DAISA 1987. Incised marks include the model number 5460, the letter B, and workshop characters including 2, P E, 72, and S. The lot is accompanied by its original Lladro cardboard box with matching identification labels, a promotional pamphlet, and a registration card.
