A Pair of Lladró Glazed Porcelain Figurines, Balloon Seller, Model 5141 A pair of Lladró glazed porcelain figurines entitled Balloon Seller (Spanish title: Vendedora de Globos), model number 5141. Designed by Vicente Martínez and first issued in 1982, each figurine depicts a young woman in a walking pose carrying a cluster of seven pastel-coloured balloons in shades of blue, green, yellow, pink, and white. She is dressed in a long, flowing light blue skirt, a mauve blouse, and a white shawl tied across her shoulders, with a brown satchel at her hip. The pieces are finished in the characteristic Lladró pastel palette with a high-glaze sheen. The base of each figurine features a printed blue mark with the Lladró bellflower logo above the words LLADRÓ and HAND MADE IN SPAIN, and the copyright date DAISA 1982. There is an incised model number 5141, along with further incised characters including E-7 J, a square symbol, and other potter or decorator marks. Both figurines are accompanied by their original Lladró cardboard boxes, which feature factory labels with the model number 05141 and titles in Spanish and English. The original internal protective Instapak foam packaging and Lladró product information cards are also present.
