Heathwood Model 2A 35mm Film Strip and Slide Projector with Original Box and Accessories A mid-20th-century British home cinema outfit featuring a Heathwood Model 2A 35mm film-strip and slide projector, titled The Ideal Home Entertainer. Manufactured by The Heathwood Engineering Co. Ltd. in Llanishen, Cardiff, Wales. The projector is constructed from metal with a black crinkle enamel finish and features a single projection lens in a focusable sliding tube. The lot includes the original blue cardboard box with an illustrated label, several 35mm film strips including titles from the Nipper series by Associated British-Pathe and London Lantern Film Strips, and a collection of colour-lithographed glass slides depicting fairy tales such as The Three Little Pigs, landscapes, and figures. Included hardware consists of two knurled metal film winding spools and internal metal adaptors. Documentation comprises the original Working Instructions, Additional Working Instructions for Model 2A, and a promotional Pathe pamphlet for Nipper film strips. The unit is fitted with an original braided power cord and a period UK bayonet-style lamp holder plug.
