Minox B Subminiature Spy Camera with Leather Case and Measuring Chain A West German Minox B subminiature camera, constructed with a satin-finished aluminium body. This model, historically associated with intelligence work and often termed a spy camera, utilises 8x11mm film and operates through a telescopic push-pull mechanism for film winding and shutter cocking. The top plate is fitted with three control dials: a DIN film speed selector (calibrated 6 to 27 DIN), a shutter speed dial (1/2 to 1/1000 second plus Bulb), and a manual focus dial graduated from 0.2 metres to infinity. An integrated selenium light meter is positioned adjacent to the shutter speed dial. The front aperture houses a Complan 15mm f/3.5 lens. Visible markings include the maker name MINOX within a pointed oval border on the base, and MADE IN GERMANY arranged in an arc. The lens surround is inscribed COMPLAN 1:3,5 f=15mm. The camera is accompanied by its original black textured leather protective slipcase and a chrome-plated metal measuring chain used for precise distance calculation in close-up photography.
