A Pair of Vintage Kodak Retina System Hard Shell Camera and Accessory Cases A pair of vintage hard-shell cases manufactured in Germany for Kodak and retailed through Wallace Heaton Ltd, London. The cases are constructed from a brown leatherette-finished synthetic material with chrome-plated metal rims and locking front latches. The larger case features an interior lined with mustard-coloured velvet, with a padded base recess designed to accommodate a 35mm rangefinder or SLR camera, specifically configured for the Kodak Retina or Retinette series. The interior lid includes elasticated retention straps, a black and gold foil retailer label for Wallace Heaton Ltd bearing the Royal Warrant for Her Majesty the Queen, and a brown plastic circular holder embossed Made in Germany. The smaller case is a matching accessory or outfit case, with a velvet-lined interior partitioned into various compartments and wells for additional lenses, viewfinders, and film canisters. Both cases retain their original adjustable leather shoulder straps. A single metal barrel key is included which operates the locks on both units. The lids of both cases are embossed with the Kodak brand mark within a rectangular border, and the reverse of each body is embossed Made in Germany.
