A Pair of Vintage Shell Cameo and Silver Clip-on Earrings A matched pair of vintage clip-on earrings, each featuring an oval hand-carved shell cameo bezel-set within a decorative silver frame. The cameos are carved in relief with a classical female profile facing left, displaying characteristic bi-colour layering of cream-white over a burnt-orange ground. Each setting features a dual-border design, comprising an inner rope-twist wire and a wide, textured outer sunburst or hedgehog border consisting of numerous radiating wire loops. The reverse of each earring is fitted with a hinged paddle-back clip mechanism. The frames are stamped to the reverse with the maker mark FAS. According to accompanying documentation, the metal is sterling or 800-grade silver. Dimensions: approximately 24mm x 20mm Weight: approximately 10g.
