A Trio of Vintage Items comprising a Lesney Advertising Ashtray and an Egyptian Inlaid Musical Cigarette Box A trio of vintage decorative items featuring a Lesney advertising ashtray and an Egyptian inlaid musical cigarette box. The Lesney ashtray is constructed with a black glazed pottery base featuring white printed text for the Pinochio Restaurant, 31, Frith St., Soho, W.1. It is mounted with a silvered die-cast metal model of a 1929 4 1/2 Litre Supercharged Bentley from the Lesney Models of Yesteryear series. The base is embossed LESNEY MADE IN ENGLAND and bears a red and gold descriptive paper label. The second ashtray is of rounded triangular form, made from dark resin with embedded iridescent abalone shell fragments and a red felt-lined base. The rectangular cigarette box is of Egyptian origin, decorated with intricate geometric marquetry and mother-of-pearl inlay. The box features a cantilevered interior mechanism with four tiered trays for cigarettes and is fitted with a musical movement wound via a key on the underside.
