A Mason's Ironstone Bittersweet Pattern Baluster Vase A Mason's Ironstone vase of large baluster form, featuring an octagonal flared rim and a matching lobed base. The piece is decorated in the Bittersweet pattern, exhibiting an Oriental-inspired floral design. The decoration comprises a brown transfer-printed outline over-painted with hand-applied polychrome enamels in shades of orange-red, light green, and teal. Notable accents include deep cobalt blue leaves embellished with gilded highlights. Both the rim and the foot-rim are finished with a fine gold-gilded line. The underside bears the reddish-brown printed Mason's factory mark, including the crown symbol, scroll banner reading Ironstone Made in England, and the pattern name Bittersweet. Hand-painted numerals in green, black, and gold are also present on the base. Height: 25.4 cm.
