A Collection of Decorative Ceramics including Royal Doulton Australian Aborigine Plate and Ridgway Saraband Bowls An assortment of decorative and functional ceramics featuring notable English manufacturers. The collection includes a Royal Doulton earthenware plate from the Australian Aborigine series, numbered D 6422. The face features a detailed photographic-style transfer portrait of an Indigenous Australian man with a full grey beard and an orange headband. The reverse bears the Royal Doulton lion and crown backstamp with the pattern name and number. Also included is a set of six shallow earthenware bowls in the Saraband pattern by Ridgway, Staffordshire. These pieces feature a broad turquoise-coloured rim with gilt edging and a central polychrome transfer of white flowers with pink centres. The backstamps confirm the maker and pattern. A rectangular flow blue earthenware tray is present, decorated with the Dorea floral pattern. It features a scalloped edge and a reverse mark for Royal Porcelain, England. The lot further comprises several collector and decorative plates: three festive plates including Christmas 1987 and 1989 designs; a plate depicting two koalas; and a large shallow bowl with a hand-painted style yellow, orange, and black tartan pattern. A group of mugs completes the collection, featuring various designs: a blue and white silhouette portrait mug, a blue bird pattern mug, and two mugs with seashell motifs bearing internal labels for jones.
