Evans, T. Gwernogle (Ed.). Pwlpud y Beirdd. Jones a'i Feibion, 1904-1906. Two Volumes. A two-volume set of Pwlpud y Beirdd (The Pulpit of the Poets), a collection of Welsh religious and poetic literature edited by Reverend T. Gwernogle Evans. The volumes were published by Jones a'i Feibion at the Crown Printing Works in Morriston, Wales, with Volume I appearing in 1904 and Volume II in 1906. These octavo hardcovers are bound in original publisher's cloth; Volume I is tan and Volume II is red. The front covers feature black-stamped illustrations of a dove, a lily of the valley, and an open book containing the Welsh text Gair ein Duw ni and Felly Carodd Duw y Byd. The spines are decorated with banners, a rose motif, and the original retail price of 3/6. Both volumes contain frontispiece portraits of the editor and various photographic plates of contributors including Parch. E. Rees (Dyfed) and Parch. J. J. Roberts (Iolo Carnarvon). An interior flyleaf bears a stamped ownership mark for Owen Evans 1905.
