A Collection of Hornsea and Withernsea Fauna Woodland Animal Earthenware Vases and Planters A collection of vintage glazed earthenware tree-stump vases and planters from the Fauna series, produced by Hornsea Pottery and Withernsea Pottery (Eastgate). The group consists of various molded tree-stump forms, each featuring hand-painted woodland animal figures. The collection includes a large central vase featuring a fawn and a rabbit, two vases featuring a squirrel and a recumbent fawn under leaf canopies, and various planters featuring rabbits and fawns. The bases bear various underglaze black stamps including the Hornsea Pottery Royal mark, the Withernsea Pottery Eastgate mark with lighthouse graphic, and the Eastgate England gate mark. Several pieces feature incised numerals to the bases, including 86, 26, 25, and 4. The large vase has the title Buddies impressed into the lower reverse.
