A Trio of Decorative Ceramic Wall Plates comprising a Rosenthal Art Porcelain Plate by Bele Bachem and a pair of Habitat Blewbury Pattern Plates This lot comprises three decorative ceramic wall plates, each currently fitted with a wire spring-tension hanger. The collection includes a Rosenthal porcelain art plate of rounded triangular form. The face is decorated with a whimsical illustration of a young woman reclining in a meadow beneath a tree populated by squirrels, signed Bele to the left. The reverse bears a green underglaze factory mark for Rosenthal, Germany, Kunstabteilung Selb, and a facsimile signature for the designer Bele Bachem (1916-2005). Accompanying this is a pair of circular earthenware plates by Habitat in the Blewbury pattern, made in England. Each plate features a central transfer-printed motif in a stylised cross-stitch needlepoint pattern. One depicts a young couple kissing over a fence with the motto Kissin' dont last Cookin' do. The other shows a couple celebrating over a roast dinner with the text First the toast then the roast Happy hostess Happy host. The rims are finished with a hand-painted blue foliate vine and yellow dot border. The reverse of each carries a blue circular backstamp confirming the manufacturer and pattern.
