A Trio of Mintons Indian Tree Pattern Ceramic Tableware Items A set of three ceramic tableware pieces manufactured by Mintons in the Indian Tree pattern, comprising one oval platter and two circular plates. The pieces are constructed from fine earthenware or ironstone and feature a vibrant polychrome transfer-printed Chinoiserie design with hand-painted enamel highlights. The central motif depicts a flowering peony tree with a bird, enclosed by an inner gilded band and a geometric fretwork border interspersed with floral sprays. Each piece is finished with a gilded rim. The reverse of each item bears a printed maker's mark in black featuring a crown above a globe with a central banner inscribed MINTONS, alongside the text EST. 1793 and ENGLAND. Additionally, there is a rectangular retailer's stamp for NORMAN. W. FRANKS., CHEPSTOW PLACE, BAYSWATER, LONDON. W., which also notes a LEADLESS GLAZE. Faint impressed MINTON marks and hand-painted iron-red numbers 5183 and 221 are also present. Oval Platter: Approximately 26.5 cm in length Circular Plates: Approximately 23 cm in diameter.
