The first is a watercolour on paper by the British artist Frank Sherwin (1896-1986), titled In Old World Bruges. The composition depicts a street scene in Bruges, Belgium, showcasing traditional stepped-gable architecture, a white-washed cottage, and a horse-drawn cart with figures in local costume. The work is signed in block capitals FRANK SHERWIN in the lower-left corner of the painting. The surrounding mount includes a handwritten title In Old World Bruges. and a second signature Frank Sherwin. The piece is presented in a black-painted wood frame with a card mount. The second item is a colour print after a genre painting by the Swiss artist Albert Anker (1831-1910). The image depicts a young girl in traditional dress, including a head covering and scarf, focused on knitting a white sock while carrying a wicker basket. The print is dated Anker 1885 in the plate at the lower left. It is housed in a decorative gilt wood frame with a card mount.
