An Antique Vienna Regulator Style Mahogany Finished Wall Clock - An antique mechanical wall clock in the Vienna regulator style, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. The case is constructed from wood with a dark mahogany-toned finish, featuring architectural details including twin turned half-pillars and two carved floral rosettes. The glazed door is hinged to reveal the interior housing an enamel beat scale mounted to the backboard. The circular dial features a cream-coloured chapter ring with black Roman numerals, decorated with red fleur-de-lis motifs between the hour markers, and is fitted with a brass bezel. The movement is a mechanical, spring-driven, two-train system designed to strike on a coiled wire gong. The hands are ornate, pierced black metal. Accompanying the clock is a brass-faced gridiron pendulum, a metal winding key, and a separate loose turned wooden finial. A stamped mark and serial number are present on the back plate of the movement, but these are not clearly legible and the maker remains unidentified.
