After Lin Ximing (1926-2017), Spring Morning in the Water Village, Framed Chinese Painting A framed Chinese ink and colour painting on paper, after the work titled Spring Morning in the Water Village (水乡春晨) by the artist Lin Ximing (1926-2017). The landscape depicts a tranquil Jiangnan scene with a central figure in a green tunic and purple trousers poling a sampan loaded with five baskets through misty waters. The foreground features large, sweeping weeping willow branches rendered with fluid ink strokes and green washes, accented with small russet-coloured spots. In the background, traditional whitewashed architecture with dark roofs is visible through the mist on a distant shoreline. The upper right corner contains a calligraphic inscription in semi-cursive script reading 水乡春晨 (Spring Morning in the Water Village) and signed 林曦明 (Lin Ximing), accompanied by a square red artist's seal reading 林曦明印 (Seal of Lin Ximing). The artwork is mounted with a white card border and housed in a polished wood-effect frame with a gilt inner slip.
