A Pair of Mid-20th Century Enamelled Green Glass Bud Vases A pair of emerald green art glass bud vases, attributed to Bohemian glass production for the export market. Each vessel features a bulbous, flattened circular base tapering into a long, slender neck with a slightly flared rim. The glass is a deep emerald green, decorated with hand-painted enamel floral motifs and gilded highlights. The neck of each piece is adorned with a single flower in white, yellow, and red petals. The base is decorated with a large, circular gilded medallion bordered by white enamel dots, flanked by floral sprays in pink, white, blue, and yellow with green foliage. The top rim is finished with a gilded band. The bases are slightly concave and smooth, lacking a rough pontil mark. Both vases retain a shield-shaped silver foil label on the underside, with the literal transcription: BEST, ART GLASS, FOREIGN. The use of the Foreign mark was a standard customs requirement for goods imported into the United Kingdom from outside the British Empire, commonly used during the mid-20th century. Height: 24 cm.
