Louis de Beaumont and Others, A Collection of Framed Artworks A collection of framed artworks featuring a variety of media and subjects. The group includes a small seascape painting on board, executed in an expressive style with a sailboat and a surrealist facial image in the sky, alongside a mid-20th-century religious print of the Madonna and Child. Both of these items are accompanied by labels on the reverse for the artist Louis de Beaumont, which provide a curriculum vitae of awards from 1960 to 1986 and a workshop label from the Monastère des Bénédictines, Atelier N.D. de Pont-Main in Craon, France. Also included is a hand-coloured fashion engraving titled The Last & Newest Fashions, 1839. Evening Dresses. (3), and a reproduction print of Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres's 1808 work, The Valpinçon Bather. The final piece is a black and white silver gelatin photograph depicting a row of young boys standing at a wall. The works are housed in diverse frames including gilt wood, dark stained timber, and black-painted mouldings.
