A 13-Piece Royal Venton Ware Earthenware Part Dinner Service A thirteen-piece partial dinner service of Royal Venton Ware earthenware, decorated in the Pheasant pattern. Each piece features a central polychrome transfer-printed and hand-painted motif of a long-tailed bird perched upon a grassy mound amongst floral sprays. The decoration is framed by a reddish-brown geometric trellis and floral border, finished with a scalloped rim and hand-painted green edge. The service comprises five rimmed soup bowls and eight plates of varying sizes. The undersides are largely unmarked, save for a hand-painted green character resembling a backwards c or the number 3 to the base of at least one piece.
