An Early 20th Century Oak Barley-Twist Two-Tier Smoker's Stand An early 20th-century dark-stained oak smoker's stand featuring a traditional barley-twist central column. The stand is constructed with two circular tiers: a smaller recessed tray at the top with a raised rim, designed to accommodate an ashtray, and a larger central tray with a matching raised rim. The central stem is composed of two sections of spiral turning separated by ring-turned collars, all terminating in a stepped and moulded circular base. The solid oak construction is evidenced by prominent medullary ray patterns visible on the grain of the trays and base. The underside of the stand is finished with a green felt covering. No manufacturer marks or labels are present. Height: 64 cm.
