Bidspirit auction | Two Primitive Style Wooden Bentwood

Two Primitive Style Wooden Bentwood Grain Sieves A pair of vintage bentwood drum sieves of graduated sizes, constructed from thin timber with metal wire mesh, maybe of French or Irish origin. The lot comprises: A large circular grain sieve featuring a bentwood frame secured by overlapping joints and small metal staples. The sieve is fitted with a fine, dark-toned metal wire mesh. The wood is unmarked and exhibits a natural aged patina. A smaller circular grain sieve with a similar bentwood frame and a coarser, light-coloured mesh. The interior of the frame displays a fine repeating textured pattern. No manufacturer's marks or country of origin labels are visible on either piece.
