A LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH GORGE ENGRAVED GRAND SONNERIE CARRIAGE CLOCK having an engraved gilt brass case with bevelled glass panels, enclosing an engine turned gilt masked enamel Roman dial above a subsidiary alarm dial, fronting a movement chiming and repeating the hours and quarters on two bells, with strike selection lever to the underside and Chinese script to the backplate for Vrard & Co., made for the Chinese market.
