A LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH SINGING BIRD AUTOMATION CARRIAGE CLOCK having a gilt brass glazed case with turned columns and acanthus leaf bases enclosing a white enamel Roman dial below a singing bird display, fronting an eight-day spring-driven movement with original lever escapement striking on a bell; the bird connected by pulleys to a separately wound movement in the base containing bellows.
