A GEORGE III MAHOGANY INLAID EIGHT-DAY PAINTED DIAL EGYPTIAN STYLE LONGCASE CLOCK having an arched hood with brass ball finials, carved and inlaid cresting, reeded columns and brass-mounted sphinx head capitals, above a shaped trunk door with oval inlay and raised on a plinth base, enclosing an arched painted dial with Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, moon phase and painted figural spandrels. Fronting an eight-day weight-driven movement with an anchor escapement and bell strike. (243cm high)
