WELLES ORSON: (1915-1985) American Actor & Film Director, Academy Award winner. An exceptional vintage signed sepia 8 x 10 photograph of Welles in a head and shoulders pose, wearing a top hat, in costume as the wealthy newspaper publisher Charles Foster Kane from the classic film Citizen Kane (1941). Signed by Welles in bold blue fountain pen ink with his name alone to a clear area of the background. Signed photographs of Welles in costume from arguably his most famous role are of the utmost rarity and highly desirable. VG Citizen Kane (1941) was Welles's first feature film, which he also co-wrote, produced and directed. It is constantly ranked as one of the greatest movies ever made.
