Renaud de Jouvenel (1907-1982) French Writer, Polemicist and Journalist.
Eisenstein travelled to US in 1930 after accepting a contract of Paramount Pictures, but after six months of disagreements, both parties declared the contract null and void. Eisenstein then, and before returning to Russia, accepted a private investors proposal and travelled to Mexico for the filming. It is during this period that Eisenstein sent the present postcard.
