CLAYBURGH JILL: (1944-2010) American actress, an Academy Award nominee. A good signed and inscribed 10 x 8 photograph of Clayburgh in a close-up head and shoulders pose, with one white-gloved raised to the side of her face, as Jackie Johnson from the American comedy film The Thief Who Came to Dinner (1973). Signed by Clayburgh in blue fountain pen ink to a largely clear area of the image. Together with a second signed and inscribed 7 x 9.5 photograph of Clayburgh in a half-length pose. Signed in dark fountain pen ink to a clear area of the image. The actress has experienced a little pen trouble and there are a few small splatters of ink from the nib close to the signature and inscription. VG to EX, 2
Provenance: The present photographs originate from the collection of Pierre Goulliard, a French gentleman who, for over 50 years, dedicated himself to obtaining in person autographs of British, American and European movie stars, always obtaining the signatures in fountain pen ink.
