NAPOLEON I: (1769-1821) Emperor of France 1804-14, 1815. A good L.S., `Np´, one page, 4to, St. Cloud, 20th June 1811, in French. Napoleon signs to the left border of the document, approving a report signed and sent to him by Henri Jacques Guillaume Clarke (1765-1818) Duc de Feltre and Minister of War under Napoleon. Later Marshal of France in 1816, one of six created under King Louis XVIII from 1815-24. L.S., `Duc de Feltre´, 19th June 1811, on the Minister of war printed stationery, bearing the large printed heading “Rapport A Sa Majesté l´Empereur et Roi” (“Report to His Majesty the Emperor and King”). The Duke of Feltre reports on the request received from the administrative Council of the workers Battalion of his Guard, including a memoire referring to Lieutenant Lostin and to his right in receiving the balance of his pension. I have only accepted for Mr. Lostin 7 years and 10 months of effective military service and 5 military Campaigns.
