[JOHN ELTON]: (1947- ) British singer and pianist, Academy Award winner. A mellow yellow silk two-piece Gianni Versace Couture suit previously belonging to and worn by Elton John, the double-breasted jacket featuring four satin covered buttons and satin lapels, the trousers with four front pleats and satin piping. The Italian made suit featuring Versace labels stitched to the inside of the jacket and trousers. EX
Provenance: Acquired by our vendor from an auction held by Gorringes of Lewes in October 2010 which featured Elton John memorabilia from the collection of the musician's mother, Sheila Farebrother (1925-2017). The original lot label (Number 204, estimate £1000/1500) is still present.
