SPOCK BENJAMIN: (1903-1998) American pediatrician, remembered for his book Baby and Child Care (1946). Spock also won an Olympic gold medal in rowing in 1924. T.L.S., Ben Spock, one page, oblong 8vo, Madison Avenue, New York, 2nd February 1975, to A. Nelson Taylor. Spock thanks his correspondent for their kind letter and continues to enclose 'a list of my books, some of which have been published in England by the Bodley Head'. Together with the typed list referred to, one page, 4to, comprising ten titles including Baby and Child Care, Dr. Spock on Vietnam and Raising Children in a Difficult Time. VG, 2
