BOOTH KATE: (1858-1955) Catherine Booth-Clibborn. Also known as "La Maréchale". English Salvationist and Evangelist who extended the Salvation Army into France and Switzerland. She was the oldest daughter of William and Catherine Booth. A.L.S:, `Maréchale´, one page, 8vo, n.p., 16th December 1926, in French. Booth states ` Chérie, regrette de ne pas vous avoir vue après la réunion! J´aprécie énormément votre bonne volonté de m´aider en écrivant pa préface pour mon petit livre. Soigne-toi - ne te surmène pas comme moi je le fais...´ (Translation: " Darling, I am sorry I didn't see you after the meeting! I really appreciate your willingness to help me by writing a preface for my little book. Take care of yourself - don't overwork yourself like I do...") VG
