DU MAURIER DAPHNE: (1907-1989) English novelist. A good A.Q.S., Daphne du Maurier, one page, 8vo, Kilmarth, Par, Cornwall, 7th February 1986. To the upper half of the printed stationery the novelist has penned the iconic opening line from one of her most celebrated novels, ´Last night I went to Manderley again´ (quote from Rebecca)´, adding her signature immediately beneath. To the lower half of the page Du Maurier has added an additional note in her hand, signed with her initials D du M, in full, ´I enjoyed all the Bronte novels. "Myself When Young" was autobiographical´. VG
