DUMAS ALEXANDRE: Père (1802-1870) French Writer whose works include The Three Musketeers. A.L.S., A. Dumas, one page, 8vo, Paris, 5th November, n.y., to Monsieur Porcher, in French. The letter bears to the upper left corner a blind embossed seal with Dumas initials. Dumas states `Am leaving for two months, feel free to decide on my behalf during my absence, I have not settle agreements with any theatre. You can make them perform...´ With blank integral leaf. Folded, with several very small pinholes not affecting the text or signature. G to VG £150-200 Jean Baptiste Porcher (1792-1864) French former theatre employee who created an agency which used to buy copyrights to their authors.
