ZOLA EMILE: (1840-1902) French Novelist, Playwright & Journalist, a prominent figure in the Dreyfus Affair. A.L.S., Emile Zola, one page, 4to, Medan, 19th May 1896, to Attilio Luzzatto, in French. Zola sends a receipt to his correspondent, acknowledging a payment and stating `Received from M, Attilio Luzzatto, on behalf of ''La Tribuna'', the amount of seventeen hundred and fifty francs, with a cheque, clearing the price agreed for the purchase and full property of the translation into Italian language of my novel ''Rome''.´ Folded. EX £600-900 Rome (1896) is a novel by Zola.
